WELCOME TO Container Search

Container Search is comprised of two internet product components:

*Current* Container Search

*Historic* Container Search

Current Container Search

This application pulls information from Horizon Lines' own equipment systems, so as our containers move along during a shipment life cycle (booking to delivery), this live, on-line equipment system will automatically display the location of the container throughout its movement. These updates are real-time. No other domestic shipper offers such information depth. Most shipping companies have static data, meaning they manually update static sheets. These are likely updated on a weekly basis and are often not as accurate as shippers require.

This application will furnish a Trip Plan that provides the date and time of all major events that occur during a shipment. These are:

Gate-In events at ports and rail ramps
Notation of the vessel cutoff
Vessel departure and arrival
Container discharge from vessel
Delivery of load at final destination
Relay information
Rail sightings of containers moving inland via the railroad
Easy to use, just enter information into the Container Number field and click Search.

Historic Container Search

This again is direct access to Horizon Lines' equipment systems. This is the tool that we use to track equipment throughout our network. It is how we know where all equipment is located, where it has been and to update container status. This information is real-time, you look at the container as it is in our system -- completely automated. WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT WE SEE!

Easy to use, just as in Container Search enter information into the Container Number field and select/enter a date rage using the From and To fields.

In addition to the information provided by Container Search, this application will:

Give the dates and times of empty returned containers
Show movement of containers which have no live loads
Note the discharge from vessel of empty containers
Yield gate information of empty containers moving through port gates and rail ramps
