Compañía Sud Americana de Vapores (CSAV) is a Chilean shipping company. Founded in 1872, it is one of the oldest shipping companies in the world and one of the largest in Latin America.
 
It is a corporation whose shares have been listed publicly since 1893.  We specialize in container shipping but also offers special services, such as the carrying of liquid and solid bulk cargos, reefers and cars.
 
CSAV is a global company, operating more than 30 liner services around the world and has a commercial network with a presence in nearly 200 cities worldwide.
 
In 2011, the Luksic family holding company, Quiñenco, became a shareholder in the company, and in February 2012, following a capital increase; the group became its legal controller with a 37.44% stake.
